Saturday Night Action

The Action Pistol is a group of people who have been active in the shooting community for many years. We offer a variety of shooting events centering on the safe and proficient use of the handgun in a realistic setting. We also offer limited shotgun and rifle events to the shooting community. The competition and other events are intended to benefit shooters from all levels of experience and shooting ability.

The Club provides a fun and safe learning environment, where shooters can come to develop and maintain their skill level with their own firearms. People who attend these events will find others who share their interest in shooting. You will also find individuals who have gone to some of the formal defensive shooting schools. This will expose you to the many different styles of problem solving. The courses of fire are designed to develop safe, fast and accurate use of the handgun in a controlled setting

When: The First and Third Saturdays of each month

Time: 6:00 pm
Please Note: If you have not shot with our group before, you must arrive at 6 pm on your first night. We do introduction and orientation to our range and our program from 6 pm to 7:30. Orientation and Basics (required for ALL new shooters)

Location: San Jose Municipal Firing Range 1580 S. 10th St. San Jose, CA 95123

Open To: Anyone over 18. (Juniors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and are allowed to participate on a case by case basis.)

Equipment:

1. A gun in good condition
2. A good quality holster.
3. Four to five spare magazines or speed loaders for a revolver
4. Magazine pouches or speed loader carriers
5. A sturdy belt
6. Eye and ear protection
7. 100 rounds of ammo for your gun
8. Range appropriate clothing
